From Bankruptcy to Multi-millions (Mike Vick signs new deal with Philadelphia)

vick.jpgHe went from college star and first overall draft pick in 2001, to racketeer and felon in 2007, to debtor in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2008, to $100 million dollar man as the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011. If only climbing out of the hole was so easy for the rest of us. I guess it just shows that when you have a rocket arm and jelly for legs, you are unique; and people are willing to pay you. His bankruptcy case still puts limits on his spending and lifestyle for some time, but his new deal, if he plays that long, will take him through his 36th birthday.

Doylestown, Pennsylvania Teacher Busted For Theft (Not a Bankruptcy Solution)

apple.jpgToday's lesson: do not steal. This lesson could not, apparently, be taught by 5th grade teacher Carolyn Trymbiski of Groveland Elementary School. According to police, what started as borrowing money from co-workers (other teachers) turned into outright theft. No indication has been given about Ms. Trymbiski's financial situation (i.e., was she behind on debts...in need of a Doylestown bankruptcy attorney...or just plain given to kleptomania).
